1) Scriptures:
We believe that the 66 Books of the Old & New Testaments are God’s special revelation to mankind, uniquely inspired by the Holy Sprit, without error in their original autographs, and the supreme and final authority of all matters of faith and practice. (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:21; Ps. 19:7-11; Ps. 119)
2) God:
We believe in the one infinitely perfect God who is a Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit – three distinct persons, yet one in essence, each equally worthy of worship, honor, and glory. God is omnipotent, omnipresent, foreknowledge. The universe was created by God for His pleasure and glory. (Mt. 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14; Ps. 139: 1-18; Gen. 1-2; Rev. 4:11; Heb. 11:3)
3) God the Son:
We believe that Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity, the pre-existent Son of God and Word. He was conceived by the Holy Sprit, born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, made atonement for human sin at His death on the cross, was raised again bodily, and ascended to Heaven, where He is the Mediator for all who trust in Him. He is both fully God and fully man, with neither natures compromised, existing in one Person. (Mt. 1:18-21; John 1:1-14; Col. 2:15-18; Phil. 2:5-11; Isaiah 53:3-12; John 19-20; 1 Cor. 15:3-5; Heb. 7-10)
4) God the Holy Spirit:
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, and that He has been sent into the world to exalt Christ; to convict the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; and to regenerate, indwell, fill, empower, and seal believers, uniting us together as one body assisting us in the process of sanctification. (John 14:15-26; 15:26-16:11; Rom. 8:9-11; Eph. 1:13-14; 1 Cor. 12:12-13; Gal. 5:16-26)
5) Humankind:
We believe that humankind was a special part of God’s creation, being created in His image, whose chief end is “to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.” Having sinned in the Garden of Eden at the temptation of Satan, humankind has fallen from innocence and inherited a sinful nature. All born into the world are dead in transgressions and sin, and apart from grace, are entirely unable to please God in any way. (Gen. 3; Is. 64:6; Ps. 51:5; John 6:44; Rom. 3:23; 10-20; 8:7-8)
6) Salvation:
We believe salvation is only in Jesus Christ and His atoning work on the cross. We believe that all who faith in Him, repenting of their sins, confessing Him as Lord and Savior have been regenerated, are justified by faith alone, progress in sanctification, and will be glorified. Salvation is entirely by grace from start to finish. (Mt. 1:21; John 1:12-13; 3:1-21; 14:6; Acts 2:38; 3:19; Rom. 4:1-12; Cor. 1:13; Eph. 2:1-10; Titus 3:4-7)
7) Church:
We believe that the church consists of regenerate, baptized believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose purpose it is to worship God together, have fellowship with one another, minister to those in need, preach the gospel, make disciples, and be slat and light in the world. The Church was instituted by Christ Himself, who is its Head, and it maintains His two ordinances: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. (Mt. 5:13-14; 16:15-19; 28:18-20; Acts 2:41-42; 1 Cor. 11:7-34; 12:12-26; James 1:26-27; 2:1-13; Rev. 2-3)
8) Angels and Demons:
We believe literal angels exist, both elect and fallen. Angels are servants and messengers of God. Satan and his demons oppose God and His Church; they are destined to spend eternity in the lake of fire prepared for them. (Heb. 1:7; Eph. 6:11-12; 1Peter 5:8-9; Rev. 12:7-17; 20:7-10)
9) Last Things:
We believe in a personal and bodily return of Jesus Christ. We believe in a final resurrection of the living and the dead, and a final judgement of all humankind, at which the righteous will enter into eternal bliss in the presence of God, and the wicked will enter eternal punishment in the lake of fire. (John 14:1-3; 1 Thess. 4:13-18; 1 Cor. 15:20-28; 50-57; Mt. 25:31-46; Rev. 20:11-15)
